CM Punk Says He Misses The Fans During FTR Live Show

CM Punk misses the fans amidst his AEW absence

It has already been noted that CM Punk misses professional wrestling and now the two-time AEW World Champion has revealed he misses the fans too.

Dax Harwood held an FTR Live show over WrestleMania weekend, during which he was texting with his good friend CM Punk.

Harwood said at one point: "He sent me a heart emoji. I said, 'Should I send a message to my audience from you?' He said, 'Yes.' His message, to you (the fans), is, 'I miss them.'"

This caused a 'CM Punk' chant to break out and Harwood sent a recording of the moment to the 44-year-old. Punk then joked he wishes he had bought everyone ice cream, like he did upon his AEW debut in August 2021. Harwood revealed earlier that day that he and Cash Wheeler had reunited with Punk in Los Angeles.

Punk remains a part of All Elite Wrestling but it is unclear if he will return to the promotion. A deal for Punk to come back had reportedly been agreed in principle but Punk had another outburst last week, this time on Instagram, in which he called out AEW, Dave Meltzer, Jon Moxley, and Chris Jericho. This has cast further doubt over his AEW future.

The former AEW World Champion has been gone from the promotion since he suffered a torn triceps and had a backstage fight with The Elite in September 2022.
