Edge Seemingly Written Off WWE TV Following Another Judgment Day Attack

Edge was seemingly written off television at the hands of The Judgment Day

Edge's match with Dominik Mysterio on last night's episode of Raw didn't turn out well for the WWE Hall of Famer.

Dominik's father Rey ended up intervening and pleading for mercy on his son's behalf, inadvertently setting the stage for a vicious beatdown on the Rated-R Superstar.

Dominik hit Edge's knee multiple times with a chair, before Finn Balor hit a Coup de Grace on the knee as it was propped up on the chair. Commentator Jimmy Smith immediately said it looked like Edge's leg had been 'broken'.

The attack was likely booked to write Edge off television for the time being. Edge does not wrestle a full-time schedule and periodically disappears for either weeks or months at a time. WWE will typically shoot an angle such as the one from last night as a way to explain his absence.

The Ultimate Opportunist has been talking about his impending retirement of late. Last month he hinted that he could be planning to call it a day when WWE visits Toronto next August.
