The fallout from Emergence

With Emergence in the rearview mirror IMPACT presses on towards Victory Road.

Christian Cage was in the IMPACT Zone following his first successful defence of the IMPACT World Championship over Brian Myers. Cage was in high spirits, and dismissed his next challenger Ace Austin, before Tommy Dreamer came out. The former ECW champions shared pleasantries on the mic, as Dreamer put over Christian huge, saying the seven years without Christian as an in-ring competitor was a sad time for wrestling. Ace Austin and Madman Fulton made their way to the ring where Austin vowed to become the youngest ever IMPACT World Champion. The four men started brawling, and next week we’ll see Austin take on Dreamer, with the winner facing Christian at Victory Road.

The issues between Sami Callihan, Eddie Edwards, Moose, and Chris Sabin continued after Sabin defeated The Draw with The Cradle Shock. Post-match Moose rushed Sabin and Callihan, but before he could dish out a beating with a baseball bat, Edwards made the save with Kenny the kendo stick.

The returning Madison Rayne was in action, teaming with Tenille Dashwood and Kaleb with a K as The Influence in a handicap match against Taylor Wilde. Wilde put in a spirited display, but the numbers game was too much to overcome. Post-match The Influence continued to beat Wilde down until Jordynne Grace and Rachel Ellering made the save.

Elsewhere, X Division Josh Alexander issued an open challenge to any former X Division Champion, Kimber Lee and Su Yung took Brandi Lauren to the dark place, Bullet Club’s Chris Bey defeated David Finlay, and Rich Swann and Willie Mack defeated IMPACT Tag Champions The Good Brothers in non-title action.
