Jeff Hardy Confirms He's Joining AEW

Hardy has been rumoured to join AEW since his acrimonious split from WWE

Jeff Hardy is set to join AEW.

The news comes from Hardy himself, who confirmed he was set to join AEW during an interview with Jared Myers, with POST Wrestling later confirming the story.

Since walking out of WWE in December, speculation has been rife about Jeff joining AEW and reforming the Hardy Boys with older brother Matt, with multiple references made to Jeff on AEW TV and beyond in recent weeks.

Just this past week on Being The Elite, The Young Bucks asked Matt for a urine sample to make sure he wasn’t on drugs, parodying Jeff’s WWE exit. Likewise, Matt has been ‘acting erratic’ on AEW TV, notably exiting through the crowd during a Keith Lee/Isiah Kassidy match-up, again a reference to Jeff walking out of a match at a WWE house show.

Hardy’s WWE no compete clause is active until March 9, at which point he’d be free to negotiate with any major wrestling company. Reports emerged last month that WWE do not want AEW to sign Jeff Hardy, with WWE allegedly making a play to re-sign ‘The Charismatic Enigma’ and induct him into the WWE Hall of Fame, an offer that Jeff declined.
