John Morrison Gets Another New Name Ahead Of GCW Debut

What will Morrison be known as now?

John Hennigan - the former John Morrison - has adopted another new name following his WWE release.

Hennigan recently returned to AAA at the lucha libre promotion's Rey De Reyes show on Saturday, February 19, performing as John Superstar in the main event against El Hijo del Vikingo.

That isn't the former John Morrison's only new name, however, and Gringo Loco announced Morrison will perform at Game Changer Wrestling's 'The Wrld on Lucha' show as Johnny Caballero.

The show will take place at Fair Park in Dallas, Texas on Friday, April 1 as one of GCW's events at The Collective. Also announced for the show is Drago Kid and Pagano. Morrison's opponent has yet to be revealed.

Caballero means 'Spanish gentleman', making the name apt for his appearance at The Wrld on Lucha.

Superstar/Caballero has a history of adopting new in-ring names and he has been known as John Morrison, Johnny Nitro, Johnny Blazer, Johnny Mundo, Johnny IMPACT and Johnny Religion, among other names throughout his career.
