Jonathan Gresham Wants To Claim The 'Best In The World' Nickname
Gresham is regarded as one of the best technical wrestlers on the planet
Jonathan Gresham may have the ROH World Title around the waist, but he wants more than title belts, he wants to be known as ‘the best in the world’.
Former ROH Champions CM Punk and Bryan Danielson have both been known by that moniker, and in conversation with Lucas Charpiot of VL Media, Gresham stated how we wants to defeat them to reclaim the nickname:
“To be the best wrestler in the world, I have to face all the people who claim to be too,” Jonathan Gresham said. “I have already said it in interviews several times: to restore Ring of Honor’s image, my objective is to fight against Bryan Danielson and CM Punk. They both took on the nickname ‘Best in the World’ when they were world champions in the promotion. My goal is to reclaim the honour of this nickname to assign it only to the current Ring of Honor champion.”
Gresham was reportedly backstage at a recent episode of AEW: Dynamite - a show which featured both Punk, and Danielson - and has been vocal in the past about wanting to face both men.
