Kota Ibushi Receives Offer From NJPW

NJPW have reportedly reached out to Kota Ibushi

When Kota Ibushi left New Japan Pro-Wrestling in January it came as little surprise, with the relationship between Ibushi and NJPW having deteriorated significantly in 2022 whilst Ibushi was out on the injured list.

The first ever IWGP World Heavyweight Champion departed the company following the expiration of his deal, but Dark Puroresu Flowsion on Twitter revealed that an NJPW return for ‘The Golden Star’ isn't off the table:

“Kota Ibushi brought up to me that there is a offer from NJPW that is in place. Do not rule out a return. He has resolved his issues with a good chunk of people from the promotion,” tweeted Dark Puroresu Flowsion, who has been Ibushi’s unofficial English language mouthpiece for most of 2023.

Although it seems that Ibushi to NJPW isn’t impossible, many assume that Ibushi will make his way to All Elite Wrestling and reform The Golden Lovers with Kenny Omega, with Ibushi having never made an appearance for AEW despite wrestling in the main event of spiritual debut show All In in 2018.
