Liv Morgan Sad To See WWE Cutting Back On Live Events

The WWE Women's World Champion feels getting in reps at house shows was important to her development.

WWE are set to cut back on non-televised live events going forward, with TKO and Endeavor President Mark Shapiro recently outlining the company's plan to reduce the amount of 'marginally profitable' house shows.

While some may see this as good news for WWE stars, who will in theory have an easier schedule and suffer less wear-and-tear due to bumps, current WWE Women's World Champion Liv Morgan sees things a little bit differently.

Speaking with The New York Post, Morgan explained why she enjoys performing at live events and stressed their importance to her own development, saying:

"I'm sad to see them kind of go a little bit because the house shows are so much fun and it's so so much more intimate. House shows are truly for the love of the game. House shows are for the love of the art of wrestling, performing and being with the fans and interacting with fans on a more intimate level.

"Also for me, I feel like that's when I got good having so many reps on these live events in 2017, 18, 19 I was doing every single live event. But it helped me get so much better because I was getting all these reps.

"I'm sad to see that go for the newer guys and girls coming in who aren't going to be able to have that experience and have the reps at live events under their belt but it is what is. Time home is always nice. We spend so much time away from family and friends. It's nice, but I do love live events".

Morgan will defend her title against Rhea Ripley at this coming Saturday's Bad Blood premium live event. Dominik Mysterio will be suspended above the ring in a shark cage during the bout.

A recent report shed light on WWE's decision to utilise the novel stipulation.
