Mike Santana Reveals Talks With WWE Before TNA Return

Mike Santana spoke with WWE before TNA return

Mike Santana is back in TNA Wrestling after his departure from All Elite Wrestling, but the former TNA World Tag Team Champion revealed he also held talks with WWE whilst deciding his future.

Santana returned to TNA at Rebellion in April 2024, and during a conversation with WhatCulture revealed how far talks with WWE went:

"It was mainly [a feeling out]. There were conversations. It was nothing concrete, just seeing where both of our heads were at and seeing how things go. Every conversation that I had was great," said Santana.

The former Proud & Powerful member departed AEW in March after several years with the company, last wrestling on AEW TV in October 2023 with a singles win over former partner Ortiz in a No Disqualification match on Rampage.

Prior to his exit from AEW, news of Santana’s desire to exit the promotion was well known, with Santana and partner Ortiz having had a real life falling out at some point in 2022. A member of Chris Jericho’s Inner Circle group in the early days of Dynamite, Santana would have a year on the sidelines after injuring his ACL during the second ever Blood & Guts match in AEW.
