Report: AEW "Definitely" Planned To Sign Bray Wyatt

AEW wanted to make Wyatt All Elite

All Elite Wrestling "definitely" planned to sign Bray Wyatt - now Windham Rotunda - according to a new report.

Wyatt was surprisingly released by WWE in July of this year and the two-time Universal Champion's 90-day non-compete clause expired in late October.

Windham Rotunda has yet to resurface in another promotion, though, and Wyatt is set to work on a Hollywood movie with special makeup effects artist and designer of The Fiend mask Jason Baker in the coming weeks.

While Wyatt has yet to sign anywhere, this isn't because of a lack of interest and Dave Meltzer in the Wrestling Observer Newsletter reported today that AEW "definitely" had a plan in place to sign Rotunda. Wyatt didn't want to join a wrestling promotion at this point, though, believed to be because of his Hollywood project.

AEW President Tony Khan has previously spoken about his fondness for Bray Wyatt but he revealed he hasn't spoken to Rotunda directly about joining AEW.

Past reports have noted that IMPACT Wrestling made a significant effort to sign Rotunda but both parties never came close to agreeing to a deal.
