Report: AEW Interested In Signing WWE Talents With Expiring Deals

AEW interested in possible upcoming free agents from WWE

Although they have already committed to a big outlay with the signings of Kazuchika Okada, Will Ospreay, and Mercedes Moné, All Elite Wrestling are reportedly still interested in signing more talent, including potential upcoming free agents from WWE.

While discussing Finn Balor re-signing with WWE, Dave Meltzer stated on Wrestling Observer Radio: "I know that AEW is looking at people whose contracts are up. Whether they get anyone, that I don't know, but they are definitely looking. Sometimes you think like they made this big, big investment with Okada, Ospreay, and Mercedes and maybe they're not looking for other people but they still are."

Top talents in WWE with deals coming up include Drew McIntyre, Seth Rollins, and Becky Lynch. Meltzer anticipates that none of those wrestlers will be leaving WWE, however. Becky Lynch became the new Women's World Champion on Monday Night Raw while McIntyre and Rollins are both top stars in the Raw men's division, having both recently held the World Heavyweight Championship.

Rollins is currently off TV recovering from knee surgery, while McIntyre continues to have a bubbling programme with CM Punk. Irn Dru is also featured prominently in promotional materials for June's Clash at the Castle pay-per-view in Glasgow, Scotland.
