Report: Jacob Fatu Expected To Make WWE Debut Within The Next Week

Jacob Fatu to debut on WWE TV within the next week

Two weeks after the surprise WWE debut of Tama Tonga, The Bloodline could see their numbers bolstered further.

Mike Johnson of PWInsider Elite reports that former MLW star Jacob Fatu is expected to make his WWE debut within the week, possibly as early as Friday's episode of SmackDown.

Fatu is the son of Sam Fatu, aka the Tonga Kid, and is therefore a member of the Anoa’i wrestling dynasty. Several members of the family have thrived in WWE in recent years, most notably Roman Reigns and the members of his Bloodline stable: Solo Sikoa and The Usos, Jimmy and Jey.

Jey left the group last year and is now a babyface, while Jimmy was forcibly kicked out two weeks ago on SmackDown by Solo and Tama. The storyline seems to imply a takeover of the faction led by Solo, in the absence of group leader Roman Reigns following his loss to Cody Rhodes in the main event of WrestleMania XL.

According to Johnson’s report, the next step in the story could well be the inclusion of Jacob Fatu, with PWInsider’s sources also stating that he is set to be a regular member of WWE’s main roster moving forward. A push is reportedly planned for Fatu.

Fatu made his pro wrestling debut in 2012, and was signed with MLW between 2019 and February of this year. He is the longest reigning MLW World Heavyweight Champion in history, having held the title for 819 days between 2019 and 2021.
