Report: Former WWE Wrestler Spotted Backstage At AEW Dynamite This Week
A former WWE name was seen at Wednesday's AEW Dynamite
AEW held their Dynamite & Rampage tapings at the Kia Forum in Inglewood, California this past week, and it was a show which saw a new number one contender crowned for the AEW World Championship in the form of Will Ospreay, and also the start of the build to the upcoming Forbidden Door PPV, featuring talent from AEW, NJPW, CMLL, and Stardom. There was an interesting name backstage at the show though, as former WWE wrestler Mansoor was reportedly spotted.
According to Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful Select, Mansoor was seen backstage at AEW Dynamite, though there was no insight into the reasons for Mansoor’s attendance. It isn’t known if he was simply just visiting the show and seeing some friends, or if there was something more to his presence such as talks with Tony Khan.
Back in September 2023, Mansoor along with tag team partner Mace were released from their WWE contracts, and have since taken to the independent scene. Mansoor recently appeared in SGW, saving Cool Man from the dastardly Lord White. In recent months, Mansoor also reportedly appeared backstage at TNA tapings.
