Report: Jacob Fatu Considered A 'Major Future Player' Within WWE

Jacob Fatu is set for a big future in WWE

Although this week’s September 6 episode of Friday Night SmackDown held an announcement for an Undisputed WWE Championship rematch between Cody Rhodes and Solo Sikoa, which will take place inside a Steel Cage next week on SmackDown’s re-debut on the USA Network, SmackDown was a show that put a lot of spotlight on The Bloodline’s Jacob Fatu.

During an in-ring promo segment between 'The Tribal Chief' Solo Sikoa and the Undisputed WWE Champion Cody Rhodes, the 'American Nightmare' pointed towards Jacob Fatu and challenged him to a match for the top prize instead of Sikoa. Fatu, with the push of fans who chanted his name, climbed up onto the apron, conflicted on whether to adhere to Sikoa’s control over him or to step up. Ultimately, he jumped back off down from the apron, and it was Sikoa who got the title shot. The focus on Fatu here was no accident though.

According to a report by WRKD Wrestling on X, those in WWE consider Jacob Fatu to be a “major future player” for the company, with there being praise across the board for his work ethic, ring presence, and attitude backstage. It looks as though this segment was the first step in a bigger plan and push for Fatu in WWE, after debuting only back in June of this year.
