Report: New Details About WWE ThunderDome Set Revealed

Earlier this week, WWE announced episodes of Monday Night Raw, Friday Night SmackDown and pay-per-views would be broadcast from the Amway Center in Orlando, Florida. The company has agreed to an initial two-month residency with the arena but this could be extended in the future. 

Along with the move, WWE launched WWE ThunderDome, a new "viewing experience" which is aiming to create entrances "better than WrestleMania." Close to 1,000 LED boards will also be used to bring fans into the arena for the first time since March. 

The company started constructing the ThunderDome set on Monday and the first look revealed the ring would be surrounded by metal pillars while a cage was projected onto the titantron. 

More information on the pillars was revealed earlier today as Justin Barrasso at Sports Illustrated released a new video of inside the Amway Center. The pillars could be seen surrounding the ring while hanging in mid-air. Video screens have also been attached to them. 

In addition, Video boards have been assembled in the lower bowl, along with rows upon rows of LED boards. 

Fightful Select revealed more about the set yesterday as they noted flooring with "well over 100 lights" attached to it is being laid down ahead of this week's edition of SmackDown. The production crew working inside the venue are also "very optimistic" about how the presentation will come across to the audience at home.
