Report: The NXT Championship Could Be Defended At WWE WrestleMania 37

Balor could be in action at 'Mania

An NXT championship was defended at WrestleMania for the first time last year as Charlotte Flair challenged Rhea Ripley for the NXT Women's Title. The Queen ultimately defeated Ripley after 20 minutes, ending her title reign at 108 days.

The black and gold brand could have a presence on the WrestleMania 37 card, according to WrestleVotes. Since The Showcase Of The Immortals is once again two nights, WWE management has reportedly talked about adding a Finn Balor NXT Title defence to the show.

WrestleVotes tweeted: "Full disclosure, I don’t know where discussions stand at this point... However, I do know that several people, including some high up personnel, have talked about having Finn Balor & the NXT Championship on the WrestleMania card this year. Especially considering it's 2 nights."

If The Prince does defend the NXT Title at 'Mania, it will be the first time the belt has been defended on a main roster pay-per-view since Survivor Series 2019. Adam Cole successfully defended the championship against Pete Dunne on that show.
