Report: WWE Scrapping Rainbow NXT Titles

Rainbow WWE NXT titles are out

WWE are set to scrap some of their title belts.

According to BeltFanDan, WWE will be getting rid of their rainbow NXT championship belts and bringing back the old black-and-gold versions of the titles.

"Word on the street is the rainbow NXT belts are going to be replaced with the prior non-colored ones," they tweeted.

WWE are scrapping the titles as they want to phase out the NXT 2.0 colours. The developmental brand combined the black-and-gold brand and 2.0 eras of NXT in September 2022 shortly after Triple H became WWE Chief Content Officer.

WWE introduced the rainbow belts in April 2022 after Bron Breakker regained the NXT Championship from Dolph Ziggler on the Raw after WrestleMania 38. The titles retained the 'X' design but added a rainbow background. The NXT Women's Title also received a white strap.

When WWE will bring back the older designs is currently unknown. Bron Breakker remains NXT Champion, while Roxanne Perez is the new NXT Women's Champion, having defeated Mandy Rose for the gold on this week's edition of NXT.
