Saraya Addresses If Sasha Banks Is Her Mystery Tag Team Partner For Upcoming AEW Dynamite Match
Will Sasha Banks join Saraya on AEW Dynamite?
Saraya’s next AEW match was recently announced as a tag match pitting Saraya and a partner of her choice against Britt Baker and Jamie Hayter, with wrestling fans speculating that Saraya’s partner could potentially be Mercedes Varnado - fka Sasha Banks.
With Mercedes set to appear at NJPW Wrestle Kingdom 17 on January 4, Saraya’s mystery partner set to join her in action on January 11, and AEW promoting the match a month ahead of time, this all stoked anticipation that Varnado could answer the call. However, during a recent interview with Forbes, Saraya was quick to point out that there are other potential partners available for the match:
"I feel like anytime there’s a mystery, everyone always goes straight for Mercedes (laughs). They’re like—straight away—it’s her! There’s plenty of women out there, I’m not going to say yes or no to anybody, but there’s a lot of exciting prospects for a potential tag partner,” said Saraya.
However, Saraya did point out that she is keen to share a ring with Mercedes again, should the opportunity arise:
“I’ve always said that I would want to work with Sasha again in any capacity, because she’s a pro. In the wrestling side of things, she’s such a fantastic athlete, you can’t deny her talent. She’s fantastic,” said Saraya.
