Sammy Guevara Aiming To Win AEW TNT Title For The Fourth Time In 2023

Sammy Guevara wants the TNT Championship back

Sammy Guevara is looking to add gold to his collection in 2023.

Speaking with MuscleManMalcolm for The Sportster, Guevara revealed he wants to become a four-time TNT Champion this year.

"This calendar year I mean, we gotta be champion again. I'm tied for the most TNT Title runs with Cody Rhodes. So we got to break that record. Both three-time right now, we gotta go for four. That's one of the goals is to break that, and then the sky's the limit, right? Screw that, there's a universe out there. Maybe champ-champ, make me trios champ, you know, maybe I'll go to another company, win another belt somewhere else. So we'll see man, there's a lot of fun stuff in the works, and I can't wait to show everybody as it happens. Definitely," Guevara said.

As Guevara said, he is a three-time TNT Champion. The Spanish God first won the gold in September 2021, defeating Miro, before dropping the belt to Cody Rhodes on Christmas Day later that year. Guevara and Rhodes would then clash in a Ladder Match to crown an undisputed TNT Champion, a match which Guevara won to regain the belt.

Guevara began a rivalry with Scorpio Sky shortly after his win over Rhodes and they played hot potato with the title as Guevara's third reign lasted a mere 12 days in April 2022.

Guevara now finds himself as part of the Jericho Appreciation Society and he failed to win the Face of the Revolution Ladder Match on the March 1 edition of Dynamite to earn a TNT Title shot.
