Shane McMahon Not Planned To Be Involved In Jon Moxley's AEW Angle

Jon Moxley’s AEW angle not believed to be involving Shane McMahon

Jon Moxley’s violent acts across All Elite Wrestling television have seen the enigmatic former AEW World Champion infer that there is someone pulling the strings, and that this is ‘not your company anymore’.

Such acts and words - coupled with the fact that Moxley and associates PAC, Claudio Castagnoli, and Marina Shafir are all former WWE talents - has prompted many to believe that eventually Shane McMahon will be revealed as the group’s benefactor/mastermind. However, Dave Meltzer states in the Wrestling Observer Newsletter that this is currently not believed to be the plan, with AEW backstage sources saying this is not the ‘destination’.

Speculation about McMahon becoming ‘All Elite’ has only increased in recent months, with the former WWE executive having met with AEW owner Tony Khan, as well as having ‘coincidentally’ taken the same flight as AEW EVPs The Young Bucks.

AEW stars have in the recent past believed that McMahon was indeed set to join the organisation, with TBS Champion Mercedes Moné publicly stating that she’d welcome McMahon into the company should he join.

McMahon’s last pro wrestling role came at WWE WrestleMania 39, where McMahon tore his quads during a surprise match with The Miz.
