Trademark Filed For 'AEW: Shockwave'

AEW have filed for a new trademark

New trademarks can often give an insight into upcoming plans, the names of shows or wrestlers, and more, and AEW have recently trademarked the term ‘AEW: Shockwave’. It is listed as being used for the following;

“Entertainment in the nature of wrestling contests; Entertainment services in the nature of live professional wrestling performances; Entertainment services in the nature of production of professional wrestling programs and events; Entertainment services, namely, production and distribution of ongoing television programs in the field of professional wrestling.”

The exact nature of what the trademark will be used for is unknown, but Tony Khan had this to say at the AEW All Out 2024 post-show media scrum when asked a question about it.

"It would be safe to say that AEW is set to create a shockwave throughout all of professional wrestling. I think people are going to be talking about what they saw at AEW All Out, which was a huge business success for us, did really really well at the NOW Arena, big sell out show, and also really well on pay-per-view. I think it bodes well and creates anticipation for Dynamite. We'll continue to send that shockwave through the world of professional wrestling here at AEW.”
