Vince McMahon Officially A WWE Employee Following Return In January 2023

Vince McMahon has signed an employment agreement with WWE

Vince McMahon is a WWE employee once again.

It has been revealed within a WWE filing with the United States Securities and Exchange Commission that the organisation officially entered into a new employment agreement with Vince McMahon effective as of March 29, 2023. The agreement is retroactive to January, 9, 2023 when McMahon was elected Executive Chairman by a restructured WWE Board of Directors.

McMahon will serve as Executive Chairman for two years from January 9, 2023. His deal will be automatically extended in one-year intervals following the initial expiry in 2025 unless WWE or McMahon provide a 180-day notice of non-renewal. McMahon's base salary as Executive Chairman is $1.2 million but he could earn millions more in bonuses.

The 77-year-old resigned as WWE CEO and Chairman in disgrace in July 2022 amid a sexual misconduct and hush money scandal. He forced his way back into WWE in January 2023 and was elected Executive Chairman to facilitate a sale of WWE, although there is reportedly concern amongst the WWE roster about McMahon's involvement with creative.

McMahon was backstage at the March 6 edition of Monday Night Raw and he will be at SoFi Stadium for WrestleMania 39 on April 1 and April 2.
