Young Bucks Returning To AAA For TripleMania

The Young Bucks will be going to Mexico for AAA's biggest show

Mexican promotion AAA have announced that AEW tag team The Young Bucks will be heading in for their Triplemania XXX: Monterrey event on April 30.

Nick and Matt Jackson will headline the show, taking on AAA Mega Champion El Hijo Del Vikingo and Rey Fenix.

The Bucks previously performed in AAA in 2019 and they are former AAA World Tag Team Champions.

They defeated The Lucha Brothers for the gold at Rey De Reyes 2019 in their debuts and they successfully defended the straps at Double Or Nothing before they dropped the gold back to The Lucha Brothers at Verano De Escandalo. Their most recent AAA match was at TripleMania XXVII in 2019 when they and Kenny Omega failed to defeat Fenix, Pentagon Jr., and Laredo Kid.

The bout was announced during a press conference AAA held yesterday. It would also be, in theory, Rey Fenix's first AAA match this year since suffering an arm injury on the January 5 episode of AEW Dynamite.

The Monterrey event will also see the beginning of the Ruleta de la Muerte mask tournament, a mixed-tag match featuring AEW stars Sammy Guevara and Tay Conti and appearances from other major names, such as John Morrison and Andrade El Idolo.

Triplemania XXX: Monterrey will air live on FITE TV.
