AEW International Title Match Set For June 7 Dynamite

The AEW International Title will be on the line on the June 7 edition of Dynamite

The ‘King of Sloth Style’ Orange Cassidy will be hoping to extend his AEW international Championship reign on June 7, with the fighting champ set to put the belt on the line against Swerve Strickland in singles action.

Cassidy last defended the title at AEW Double or Nothing 2023 on May 28, defeating 20 other wrestlers in a Blackjack Battle Royal for the strap. Cassidy last eliminated Strickland from the match, taking his successful televised title defences to 23.

Strickland wasted no time in trying to get into Cassidy’s head, with Strickland and the Mogul Embassy attempting a five-on-two beatdown of Cassidy and Darby Allin on the May 31 edition of AEW Dynamite, before being thwarted by a returning Sting.

Orange Cassidy has reigned as champion since October 2022, defeating PAC for the then AEW All Atlantic Championship in Toronto, Canada. The title was renamed the International Championship in March 2023.

Announced so far for AEW Dynamite June 7 2023:

  • Orange Cassidy (c) vs. Swerve Strickland - AEW International Championship
  • Ricky Starks vs. Jay White - FTR & Juice Robinson banned from ringside
