AEW To Be 'Very Profitable' From 2025

AEW will be very profitable due to the new TV deal with WBD

All Elite Wrestling will be profitable for the first time since the promotion was founded in 2019 when the new TV deal with Warner Bros. Discovery begins in 2025.

It was announced on Wednesday that AEW and WBD had agreed to a new TV deal worth over $150 million per year. The new arrangement will see AEW Dynamite continue to air on TBS on Wednesday nights and AEW Collision remain on TNT on Saturday nights, although there was no mention of AEW Rampage. Both Collision and Dynamite will air live on Max in the United States in addition to their respective TV channels, while AEW pay-per-views will be available on Max at a discounted price later in 2025.

WrestleVotes has reported that AEW's new deal with WBD is worth closer to $185 million per year, which has since been confirmed by Fightful's Sean Ross Sapp and Andrew Zarian. Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer also noted the new deal was worth 'substantially' more than $150 million per year and AEW will be 'very profitable going forward' even before a potential new deal is made for a third weekly show.

The length of the new AEW TV deal was not officially revealed but Dave Meltzer added that the contract is for three years with an option for a fourth year at a substantial increase. The new deal will run from January 1, 2025 through December 31, 2027 and potentially 2028 if the option year is picked up.
