Shelton Benjamin Debuts At AEW Dynamite Fifth Anniversary

Shelton Benjamin arrived in AEW at the Dynamite Fifth Anniversary show

One week after the arrival of MVP into All Elite Wrestling, the former Hurt Business leader has been joined in the promotion by long-time associate Shelton Benjamin with the ‘Gold Standard’ making his AEW debut on the October 2 Fifth Anniversary edition of Dynamite.

MVP was talking backstage with Renee Paquette when he was propositioned by Prince Nana. MVP said it sounded like Nana had a complaint but he doesn’t personally deal with them, before Benjamin arrived to stare Nana down.

Benjamin was introduced as MVP’s associate and ‘President of the Complaints Department’ with Benjamin taking the opportunity to try some of Nana’s coffee - giving it a decent review.

The former WWE Intercontinental Champion confirmed he had officially joined the promotion on X/Twitter, simply posting: "It’s official Shelton Benjamin is @AEW."

AEW and Benjamin have been in contact for some time, and after rumours suggested that MVP was looking to reform the Hurt Business outside of WWE many assumed it was only a matter of time before MVP, Benjamin, and hopefully Bobby Lashley would reunite elsewhere.

Further rumours have suggested that in AEW the group could be referred to as the ‘Hurt Syndicate’, and it seems now that we’re just waiting on the arrival of Lashley to complete the triumvirate.
