Babyface Turn Teased On AEW Dynamite

Could an AEW talent be turning babyface?

A babyface turn was teased on the October 5 episode of AEW Dynamite from Washington, DC.

Darby Allin and Jay Lethal went one-on-one in the second match of the night and both men fought back and forth for 10 minutes, with neither party using dirty tactics.

Jay Lethal told his faction-mates Satnam Singh and Sonjay Dutt to stay in the back for the match but they ultimately ignored his instructions and ended up distracting the former ROH World Champion. This allowed Darby to score the win with his Mousetrap Pin.

Following the match, Allin offered a handshake to Lethal and he initially hesitated but the heel did shake Darby's hand, teasing a babyface turn, after the former TNT Champion pushed him. Lethal then left with Dutt and Singh.

Lethal was initially a babyface upon joining All Elite Wrestling in November of 2021 but he turned heel at Supercard of Honor XV after he used a Low Blow to defeat Lee Moriarty before he took out a crutch-wearing Matt Sydal.
