Charlotte Flair Wants To Surpass Ric Flair's 16 World Title Reigns

Charlotte Flair wants 17 women's title reigns

Charlotte Flair is already a 14-time women's champion and she is planning to surpass her father Ric Flair's record of 16 world title reigns.

"Before I went away for eight months, I always said that I don't really think about the number and I never really cared about surpassing the number, but here I am now as a 14-time Women's Champion, and I'm like, 'Yeah, I wanna pass it.' I don't know when, I don't know how, I mean, I know how I'm going to do it, but I think I definitely want to surpass the number now," Charlotte said on WWE's The Bump.

Flair recently became a 14-time women's champion, defeating Ronda Rousey upon her return on the December 30, 2022 episode of Friday Night SmackDown to win the title. The Queen had been away from WWE since May's WrestleMania Backlash pay-per-view prior to her return and Ric Flair revealed why she was off TV for several months.

Flair has defended the SmackDown Women's Championship since her return, defeating Sonya Deville on January 6.
