Cody Rhodes Reacts To Randy Orton Reunion On WWE Raw

Randy Orton and Cody Rhodes reunited on Raw

Monday's episode of Raw from Knoxville, Tennessee was special for Randy Orton as the 14-time world champion celebrated the 20th anniversary of his WWE debut to open the show.

In a segment in which much of the locker room was at a ringside, Orton thanked the likes of Mick Foley and Triple H for his career. The Viper was then reunited with one of his former proteges as Cody Rhodes made his way to the ring and the two men embraced before the segment descended into chaos due to a flurry of interruptions.

Rhodes and Orton would reunite again later in the show too as RK-Bro teamed with Rhodes and Ezekiel in the main event to defeat The Usos, Kevin Owens, and Seth Rollins.

Reacting to the reunion on Instagram, Cody thanked his former Legacy faction-mate, writing: "I have an assortment of jovial stories about this man - but often I miss the mark on the most important aspect...Randy Orton took me under his wing; perhaps begrudgingly or not, but he did it sincerely. Up in the stands earlier in the day, in the car, in the locker room, on the apron...constantly delivering wisdom and functional advice, and it came from a place of experience and wasn't just rhetoric. His passion for our sport is aggressive. Loud and proud. Did it his way and in the process entertained millions. Thank you. Cheers to 20."

Monday was Rhodes and Orton's first time on-screen together since The American Nightmare returned to WWE at WrestleMania 38.

Rhodes will face Seth Rollins in a rematch at the upcoming WrestleMania Backlash pay-per-view, while Orton will team with Riddle against The Usos in a Tag Team Championship Unification Match.
