Drew McIntyre Surprised By Karrion Kross' WWE Return
Karrion Kross returned to WWE and attacked Drew McIntyre earlier this month
Several former WWE stars have returned to the company in recent weeks, with the return of Karrion Kross being one of the most surprising.
Kross returned on the August 5 edition of WWE SmackDown, beating down Drew McIntyre before staring down Roman Reigns. Now, in an interview with Chris Van Vliet, McIntyre admits he was surprised by Kross’ return:
"Was very surprised to see him," McIntyre said. "I didn’t know until the very last second. We could say a little bit more here than we say in general but let’s just say he’s somebody who’s worked hard for an opportunity, deserves that opportunity, and he’s getting the biggest opportunity of his career. Unfortunately for him, it’s not gonna come at Drew McIntyre’s expense.”
After his main roster character assassination and release in 2021, many thought Kross would be done with WWE, but was brought back by new Head of Creative Triple H. A former two-time NXT Champion, Kross originally signed with WWE NXT in 2020.
