FTR Vs. Rock 'N' Roll Express Set For January 22 Indie Show

A dream match on the indies

FTR will face legendary tag team The Rock 'n' Roll Express early next year.

Dax Harwood revealed on Monday that he and Cash Wheeler will face Ricky Morton and Robert Gibson at the Big Time Wrestling show on January 22 from the Spartanburg Memorial Auditorium in Spartanburg, South Carolina.

This will be the first time FTR have faced The Rock 'n' Roll Express.

The two teams previously interacted on AEW TV on an August 2020 edition of Dynamite when FTR attacked Robert Gibson before  they decimated Ricky Morton with a Spike Piledriver.

Ricky Morton recently expressed his disappointment that AEW didn't follow up on the angle, while noting that he and Gibson wanted to face the former AEW World Tag Team Champions at an independent wrestling show.

Now, that match has been set for January 22.

Also announced for the Big Time Wrestling show is Jerry Lawler vs. George South in a King's Crown vs. George's Jacket Match. Matt Hardy will also be in action, as will Scotty 2 Hotty and Brock Anderson.
