Kevin Eck Teases Surprises For ROH Final Battle: End Of An Era

Expect the unexpected

Ring Of Honor as we all know it will cease to exist following Final Battle: End Of An Era on December 11 and ROH will go on hiatus following the pay-per-view until April 2022 to "reimagine" the promotion. All talent will also be released from their contracts at the end of the year and many of them have already started taking indie bookings.

Before Ring Of Honor signs off for Q1 2022, though, fans can "expect the unexpected" at Final Battle: End Of An Era, according to ROH writer Kevin Eck.

"I've been told that there will be...I'm going to phrase it exactly how it was told to me by someone in the office, which is, 'expect the unexpected at Final Battle.' There could be some surprises. There will most likely be some surprises. I really get the feeling, I'm not going to overpromise or whatever, I think there are going to be some special moments at this Final Battle and maybe not just the usual, not to take it for granted, but the great wrestling, we know that's going to happen. I think it's going to be a night to remember," Eck revealed on ROH Strong.

All of Ring Of Honor's championships will be on the line at Final Battle. Check out the announced card below:

  • Bandido (c) vs. Jonathan Gresham - ROH World Championship
  • Rok-C (c) vs. Willow Nightingale - ROH Women's Championship
  • The OGK (c) vs. The Briscoes - ROH Tag Team Championship
  • Josh Woods (c) vs. Brian Johnson - ROH Pure Championship
  • Shane Taylor vs. Kenny King
  • Shane Taylor Promotions (c) vs. The Righteous - ROH Six-Man Tag Team Championship
