Goldberg's Retirement Match Should Be Held In The UK, According To WWE Hall Of Famer

Goldberg's retirement match in the UK?

Although he hasn't wrestled across the pond since November 2000 at a WCW house show, the United Kingdom would be the perfect place for Goldberg's retirement match, according to WWE Hall of Famer and former Senior Vice President of WCW Eric Bischoff.

"The wrestling community in the UK is so strong. That would be my first choice if I was promoting it or I was Bill Goldberg would be the UK. Bill Goldberg has a tremendous footprint in the UK based on his time in WCW and all the things he did on Nitro and certainly his most recent run in WWE. You know he has a massive amount of equity in the UK and you know the market is there," Bischoff said on 83 Weeks

Goldberg hasn't wrestled since he faced Roman Reigns at Elimination Chamber in February 2022. The former WCW World Heavyweight Champion still wants  to have a retirement match, although he won't be wrestling again until a lingering shoulder injury is repaired.

Goldberg has been a free agent since his WWE deal expired. There were talks between Goldberg and All Elite Wrestling but any discussions ultimately broke down in early 2024.
