Hikaru Shida Dealing With Minor Injury

Hikaru Shida has an injury

Hikaru Shida is currently sidelined with a minor injury.

The former AEW Women's World Champion revealed during a recent gaming stream that she had a minor injury to her finger.

"I'm going to the show every week. To be honest, I have a little injury in my finger. It's alright. It's good. I can play games [video games]. It's alright. Maybe soon, I can wrestle," Shida said.

Shida has not wrestled since she successfully defended the Regina Di WAVE Championship against Risa Sera on January 1 in Japan. She hasn't competed in All Elite Wrestling since she won a squash match at the December 28, 2022, Dark: Elevation taping.

Shida has remained on AEW programming, being passed over by Saraya for Toni Storm for her tag team match on the January 11 edition of Dynamite. When Shida will return to the squared circle is unknown. That programme has since evolved into former WWE talents vs. AEW wrestlers, with Saraya and Storm repeatedly attacking Britt Baker, Ruby Soho, and Willow Nightingale.
