Jeff Cobb Joins AEW, Will Wrestle Jon Moxley On Next Week's Dynamite

"The Hawaiian Juggernaut" is All Elite...

If you were among those clamoring for All Elite Wrestling to build up the heavyweight side of its roster, look no further: a true powerhouse has entered the company fold.

It was announced on Wednesday's episode of Dynamite that Jeff Cobb, a veteran of promotions such as Ring of Honor, New Japan Pro Wrestling, and Lucha Underground, has joined AEW.

AEW tweeted out a brief promo video for Cobb, captioning it with, "@RealJeffCobb
is all elite. Welcome to #AEW"

During a promo featuring The Inner Circle, Chris Jericho announced that if Jon Moxley survived his match with Santana on Wednesday night's program, he would wrestle a hand-selected mercenary on next week's show, revealing that it would be Cobb.

Upon Moxley's victory over Santana at the end of the night, The Inner Circle beat Moxley down, setting up Cobb's official debut with the company. He laid Moxley out with the Tour of the Islands, before posing with the other Inner Circle members as the show went off the air.

Cobb last wrestled for ROH at January's Honor Reigns Supreme. He's also coming off of a tour of New Japan, last wrestling for them a week and a half ago.

The 37-year-old former Olympic wrestler has held ROH's Television title, New Japan's NEVER Openweight belt, and Lucha Underground's top belt (as the masked Matanza Cueto).
