Josh Alexander's IMPACT Wrestling Contract Expires

No more Walking Weapon in IMPACT?

One of IMPACT Wrestling's top stars is now a free agent.

Josh Alexander noted on Twitter on Monday that his contract with IMPACT had expired along with his United States work visa.

"Today my contract expired & subsequently also US work visa. Unfortunately as a consequence I will not be able to honour my commitments to both @TERMINUSpro & @AMLWrestling later this month. I'm disappointed & I'm sorry. Hopefully I'll have everything in order soon," he tweeted.

Where The Walking Weapon will end up remains to be seen but Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter reported Alexander is open to remaining with IMPACT, although a new deal hasn't been agreed.

Alexander was also recently mentioned on AEW Dynamite where Brandi Rhodes claimed the promotion only signed Ethan Page to get to his former North tag team partner.

Alexander signed a three-year deal with IMPACT back in February 2019. The 34-year-old formed The North with Ethan Page and they became one of the most successful tag teams in the promotion's history, holding the gold for a combined 401 days across two reigns, including a record-breaking 380-day first reign.

Following Page's departure, Alexander became a singles wrestler and he captured the X-Division Title at Rebellion 2021, holding the title until Victory Road in September when he activated option c to challenge Christian Cage for the world championship at Bound For Glory.

The Walking Weapon then won that world title match but he dropped the gold to Moose only minutes later after the former NFL player cashed in his Call Your Shot trophy.

Since then, Alexander has feuded with the likes of Minoru Suzuki and JONAH. He was suspended from IMPACT earlier this week after demanding his IMPACT World Title rematch, but Scott D'Amore told him to respect the process.
