Karl Anderson Still Booked For NJPW Battle Autumn

Karl Anderson will have at least one more match in NJPW

A Forbidden Door will seemingly be briefly open between WWE and New Japan Pro-Wrestling.

Karl Anderson and Luke Gallows shockingly returned to WWE on Monday's season premiere episode of Raw from Brooklyn, New York as they reformed The OC with AJ Styles. The faction will feud with Judgment Day in the coming weeks, having brawled with Finn Balor and co. on Monday's show.

Anderson and Gallows have continued to work for New Japan since their IMPACT Wrestling departures and their returns to WWE seemingly won't affect Anderson's match at Battle Autumn on November 5. NJPW announced more matches for the event today and the promotion reaffirmed that Machine Gun will defend his NEVER Openweight Title against Hikuleo in Osaka.

Anderson and Gallows had been working in New Japan without contracts but it appears WWE will allow them to fulfil their remaining dates.

KA has been NEVER Openweight Champion since defeating Tama Tonga for the gold at Dominion in June. He recently successfully defended the title against Hiroshi Tanahashi.

Also set for Battle Autumn is a tag team match pitting El Desperado, Hiromu Takahashi, Master Wato, and Taiji Ishimori and their as-yet-unannounced partners against each other. Aussie Open will also debut for NJPW in Japan, while the semifinals of the NJPW World Television Title tournament will also take place on the show.
