Kris Statlander Reveals Torn ACL, Meniscus

The AEW star will undergo surgery soon

AEW performer Kris Statlander has suffered a significant knee injury, and will undergo surgery to repair it in the near future.

In a video posted to Instagram, Statlander confirmed a "completely torn ACL and lateral meniscus." She also said she didn't have a date for her surgery yet, but will soon.

In her post, Statlander wrote, "Most will take a time like this to lose sight of their goals, and I’m sure I’ll reflect on what could’ve been had I not been injured. But I know my moment in my wrestling career will come, not yet, but soon. I’ll come back stronger than before just like last time. It’s not a setback unless you allow it to be."

Statlander sustained the injury at the August 5 Dark tapings during a match with Sierra. At the time of her injury, she was the number two ranked contender for AEW's Women's championships. She was also teaming somewhat regularly with Athena.

Statlander suffered a prior injury to an ACL in June 2020 that sidelined her for ten months.
