Mariah May Wins AEW Women's Owen Hart Foundation Tournament, Turns On Toni Storm

Mariah May will face Toni Storm at AEW All In

Mariah May won the 2024 women's AEW Owen Hart Foundation tournament by defeating Willow Nightingale in the main event of last night's episode of Dynamite.

May won a competitive match by countering an attempted fireman's carry into a pin, allowing her bag the trophy, ceremonial title belt and a match against AEW Women's World Champion Toni Storm at All In on August 25.

After the bout, May and Storm went to celebrate and pose with the trophy when May viciously turned on her supposed best friend and idol by hitting her with the title belt.

She continued to whip Storm with the belt and threw Luther off the stage through a table. May then repeatedly struck a bloodied storm in the head with Storm's own shoe, kissing her on the head while posing as backstage officials tried to stop the attack.

May signed with AEW in November and was introduced as a superfan of Storm. It was reported shortly after May signed that AEW planned a major push for the 25-year-old and she has been a fixture of AEW television since as Storm's understudy/protégé.
