Mark Madden Claims Ric Flair Planned To Work In AEW Prior To Dark Side Of The Ring Episode

Ric Flair may have planned to join AEW

Ric Flair may well have been in All Elite Wrestling if not for the 'Plane Ride From Hell' episode of Dark Side Of The Ring.

During the dissolution of their friendship and podcast partnership, Mark Madden claimed Ric Flair was planning to work in AEW prior to the Dark Side Of The Ring episode. Since then, though, AEW President Tony Khan has seemingly not contacted Flair and The Nature Boy was uninvited from Khan's birthday party.

"Ric was planning to work at AEW 'til the Dark Side ep. Not sure what Tony Khan thought. Khan doesn't talk to Ric now. Disinvited Ric from his b'day party," Madden tweeted.

Rumours swirled about Flair joining All Elite Wrestling following his departure from WWE, with many speculating he would manage Andrade El Idolo - his daughter Charlotte Flair's fiance.

During the Dark Side Of The Ring episode, Flair was accused of sexual misconduct by flight attendant Heidi Doyle who alleged Flair imposed himself on her and forced her to touch his genitals.
