Matt Hardy Teases AEW's Tony Khan Has Bought Out Jeff Hardy's WWE Non-Compete

Has 'Papa Khan' done it?

A new signing will join All Elite Wrestling's roster on Wednesday's episode of Dynamite and Tony Khan announced on Friday the "top wrestler" will go one on one with Isiah Kassidy in a Face Of The Revolution Qualifier.

It has been speculated that Jeff Hardy could be the wrestler facing Kassidy tonight but Matt Hardy seemingly quashed those rumours this week after he confirmed The Charismatic Enigma's WWE non-compete clause runs until March 10.

Matt teased Jeff could be the debuting star, though, on his Monday Twitch stream, noting that Tony Khan may have bought out the remainder of Jeff's WWE contract.

"As far as an update on Jeff and what's going on, I don't think he's the guy that's coming in this Wednesday against Isiah Kassidy. Although who knows? Tony Khan, Papa Khan's got a lot of money. Maybe he bought out his contract. And maybe it is happening early. Who knows?" Matt said.

Who the debuting star is will ultimately be revealed tonight, although AEW talent have speculated Keith Lee will be the wrestler to face Isiah Kassidy.
