Mickie James Looking For An Opponent For NWA 73

The event is scheduled for August 29

After weeks of teasing, Mickie James has officially announced her return to the ring, provided she finds an opponent.

Now a part of the NWA, James signed on to executive produce the all-women’s Empowerrr pay-per-view on August 28, but insisted she wouldn’t wrestle at the show. James did suggest that she could be tempted to wrestle on the following night’s NWA 73 show, and has now confirmed her intentions.

Via an Instagram video post, James said the following:

“On August 29 is NWA 73, the Anniversary Show and so on the Anniversary Show, I am announcing that I am going to wrestle at NWA 73. I'm looking for an opponent. And so I want you to tell Billy who you want to see me wrestle. Who wants to wrestle me at NWA 73? That is the big question.”

Several names have thrown their hat in to wrestle at Empowerrr such as Chelsea Green, with Thunder Rosa and Serena Deeb also set for the show.

James herself has not wrestled since the Royal Rumble on January 31, with her last singles action occurring on the September 21 2020 episode of WWE Raw.
