New Tag Team Champions Crowned On IMPACT Wrestling

Chris Bey and Ace Austin are the new IMPACT World Tag Team Champions

IMPACT Wrestling have new tag team champions.

Bullet Club's Ace Austin and Chris Bey - the newly christened Ace & Bey Connection - opened the March 2 edition of IMPACT Wrestling, cutting a promo in which they claimed they were the best team in the promotion. This prompted IMPACT World Tag Team Champions The Motor City Machine Guns to make their way to the ring to disagree and set up a title match for later in the evening.

That match took place in the main event and the Ace & Bey Connection picked up the win to capture the IMPACT World Tag Team Titles after an Art of Finesse from Bey before Austin followed up with The Fold. The team have been around the tag team title picture for the past several months but Thursday saw the beginning of their first tag team title reign. Bey and Austin have previously experienced singles success in IMPACT and they are former X-Division Champions.

The loss also ends The Motor City Machine Guns' third reign as IMPACT World Tag Team Champions. They had been at the top of the division since defeating Heath and Rhino for the belts on the December 15, 2022 edition of IMPACT. Alex Shelley and Chris Sabin remain NJPW STRONG Openweight Tag Team Champions.
