Nikki Garcia (Bella) Makes First Statement Since Husband's Arrest
Nikki Garcia has broken silence following husband's domestic violence arrest
Earlier this week, it was reported that Artem Chingvintsev, husband of WWE Hall Of Famer Nikki Garcia (Bella), had been arrested on charges of domestic violence, with it noted that injuries were reportedly involved. TMZ reported that he was arrested at 10am PT on Thursday on “felony charges of corporal injury to spouse or cohabitant”, and that a “medical emergency” call was made earlier that morning, which was cancelled.
It has not been made official who the alleged victim was in the incident, though many online sent supportive messages to Garcia over the last two days. Napa County Sheriff’s office had stated on Thursday that the victim had asked for complete confidentiality. Per US Weekly, a rep for Nikki Garcia has made a short statement and broken the silence on the matter.
“This is a private matter, and Nikki asks for privacy for her and her family at this time”.
Garcia and Chingvintsev have been married since 2022, meeting a few years before on Dancing With The Stars. Garcia was previously in a relationship with WWE’s legend John Cena during her time with the company.
