NJPW's Hiroshi Tanahashi Would Love To Face AEW's Jon Moxley "Someday"

Hiroshi Tanahashi has his eyes on a future match against All Elite Wrestling's Jon Moxley.

While the match was impossible over the last year due to the COVID-19 pandemic, more New Japan Pro-Wrestling talent have performed in the United States in recent months and The Ace captured the IWGP United States Heavyweight Title from Lance Archer on Saturday, August 14 at NJPW Resurgence. 

Jon Moxley was at ringside for Lance Archer vs. Hiroshi Tanahashi and the eight-time IWGP Heavyweight Champion revealed to Sports Illustrated that he would love to face Moxley "someday." 

"I'd love to wrestle Moxley someday. Nagata can really do it all. He can get rough with you or he can rely on his perfect technique. Moxley was able to overcome that and win, and that shows how great he is," Tanahashi said. 

A match between Moxley and Tanahashi has been teased in All Elite Wrestling over the last month and the former AEW World Champion will reportedly be facing a top NJPW star at All Out on September 5.
