Pat McAfee Not Invited To WWE Crown Jewel

No McAfee in Saudi Arabia

While the likes of Roman Reigns, Brock Lesnar, Big E and Goldberg will be in Saudi Arabia for Crown Jewel on October 21, SmackDown commentator Pat McAfee won't be in the Gulf kingdom for the event.

Speaking on his show, McAfee revealed he wasn't invited to Crown Jewel and, therefore, won't be on the call for the pay-per-view.

"Nope. They're heading over there. I wasn't invited. Good luck. I'm not supposed to be part of that, I'm happy I'm not going or whatever. The show, everyone says it's insane over there. It's awesome. Until they get stuck there and then I gotta call Buffalo SmackDown," McAfee said.

McAfee was drafted in by WWE to do commentary for the November 1, 2019, edition of SmackDown after main roster talent were stranded in Saudi Arabia following a previous pay-per-view. NXT Superstars were also used on the show and the episode ended with an NXT invasion of the blue brand.

There is no word on who will provide English commentary for the 2021 edition of Crown Jewel.
