William Regal’s backstage WWE duties reportedly revealed
Since William Regal left AEW to rejoin WWE under Triple H’s leadership, fans have been left wondering what Regal’s duties are now that he’s back in the company.
Regal now works as the Vice President of Global Talent Development for WWE, and a report from PWInsider has potentially shed more light on what Regal’s day-to-day duties actually are, revealing that Regal is backstage for every WWE Raw and SmackDown taping, and is there to fine-tune in-ring performances.
Believed to be part of Triple H’s set-up in Gorilla, Regal takes notes on all matches at the tapings, then goes over the finer details with the talents involved, making suggestions on topics such as selling, physicality during lock-ups and reversals, and overall tips on how to make the in-ring action run smoother yet stronger and more realistic.
In his previous run in WWE, Regal was based in NXT, where he served as the WWE Director of Talent Development and Head of Global Recruiting, with his duties also including talent scouting, as well as in-ring coaching at WWE’s Performance Center.
