Report: AEW's Plans For The Tag Team Titles Revealed
What could AEW have in store for the tag team titles?
All Elite Wrestling's plans for the AEW World Tag Team Titles have been revealed.
The Gunns are the current tag champs and how long they will hold onto the gold is unknown. According to WRKD Wrestling, though, Austin and Colten Gunn will be losing the belts to FTR if AEW press ahead with their plans.
"Despite how things may seem, as of right now, FTR are still the team slated to eventually take the #AEW tag team titles off of the Gunn Club," WRKD Wrestling tweeted.
Dax Harwood and Cash Wheeler are currently away from AEW TV as they are taking a break after a very busy 2022 that saw them reign as ROH, AAA, and IWGP tag team champions. FTR's deals with AEW are set to expire in April so they would have to win the titles in the next month unless they re-sign with Tony Khan's organisation.
The Gunns have been AEW World Tag Team Champions since defeating The Acclaimed for the titles in early February. They will defend the titles in a Four-Way at Revolution against The Acclaimed, Jeff Jarrett & Jay Lethal, and Orange Cassidy & Danhausen.
