Report: Dark Order's Alan Angels' AEW Contract Expires

Alan Angels' AEW contract reportedly expires

Another talent could potentially be done with AEW, with reports suggesting that Alan Angels’ contract has expired.

Angels has removed all references to AEW from his social media profiles, and has published an email address for future bookings, with F4WOnline’s Bryan Alvarez reporting that his contract has indeed expired.

A Tweet from Angels seemingly suggested that he is open for new challenges, Tweeting that he’s “Excited for what’s next” and also separately Tweeting a pic of himself and Evil Uno.

Angels last wrestled for AEW in a pure rules match against Daniel Garcia for Dark, although the match is yet to be broadcast. Angels recently made his NJPW STRONG debut, teaming with Evil Uno in the NJPW STRONG Openweight Tag Team Title Tournament.

Despite his contract allegedly expiring, this is by no means a guarantee that Angels is on his way out of the company, as some formerly contracted stars like Peter Avalon still wrestle for AEW on a per-appearance deal.

However you look at it this is sure to be another blow for The Dark Order, with founding member Stu Grayson having left AEW earlier this year after the expiration of his contract, with the two sides allegedly unable to come to terms on a new deal.
