Report: Jesse Ventura Planned For WWE Saturday Night's Main Event Specials

The Body may be heading back to NBC.

After months of talks, WWE and Jesse Ventura came to terms on a Legends deal for the Hall of Famer in August.

It would appear the company already have a role for The Body, with Greg Gagne revealing that Ventura will feature on WWE's upcoming Saturday Night's Main Event specials.

Asked if he himself would like to appear on WWE television during an appearance on Straight Talk with The Boss, Gagne said:

"Right now. I mean, with what they're paying those guys to come in, I think Jesse's going to do the - they're doing some NBC Saturday night shows, about four of them, they're gonna use Jesse for that".

It would be apt for Ventura to appear on the new version of Saturday Night's Main Event, as he was on the original run of shows as an interviewer and announcer back in the 1980s.

Though it was rebooted in the mid-2000s, Saturday Night's Main Event is synonymous with Hulk Hogan and the Rock & Wrestling Era. It will be interesting to see whether or not The Hulkster himself will appear, given that he recently signed a new five-year WWE contract. Ventura still holds a grudge against Hogan after the then-WWE Champion thwarted his attempts to form a union prior to WrestleMania 2.
